This is how I train my Quaker Parrot. Training a Monk Parakeet is fun and easy with the right tools! I have treats that he likes to eat and will walk over to take. I use a clicker to make a click sound whenever he does the right behavior and will receive a treat. I use a target stick to show him where I want him to go. He walks over and touches the target stick with his beak. I can use the target stick to direct the Quaker Parrot to step up onto my hand and so much more.
