Any exceptions aside, Amazon parrots are people-oriented. They are charsmatic, energetic, funny and playful; they talk - some sing - and even learn the context of words so that they aren't just "parroting" them back to you.

Best of all, they are affectionate. Amazon parrots click and purr when they are happiest, which is often when you are cuddling, petting them or doing something special with them.
