You simply get a choice at the beginning of boot in the GRUB menu to chose between which one you want to launch.

Parrot OS 4.9 is a distribution based off the testing version of Debian that focuses on security, privacy, and creating an easy to deploy development environment for the end user. There's plenty of tools to use if you choose to do so and the Security version includes tools for pen testing, forensics, engineering, hacking, and privacy. Making it a great distribution for more advanced users who need advanced tools that can help in the becoming a member of the cyber security community. Since Parrot OS 4.9 takes a while to install and there’s plenty of chances to mess up I suggest you get comfortable by doing the install on a virtual machine before moving onto another system. It will help you better understand where you went wrong in your install and easily start over.
