Doing some target training with baby Blue and Gold Macaws! Target training is super helpful for teaching basic skills like step up, flight recall, coming off the shoulder, and more. Things get a bit hectic targeting two macaws at the same time.

Normally I try to work with them one at a time or keep one busy while the other is training.

Using a clicker and a target stick, I point where I want the macaw to go and then the macaw uses feet or wings to get there to touch the target stick. I click the clicker and give a treat in response.
