A few years ago I decided interference was in order. I arranged large branches (considering he's in a rectangular cage with only one view forwards). I popped in different sized and textured perches, toys, a large basin to bathe in. but he still couldn't feel the grass, rain, wind - and he still had. no friends.
this aviary was finally completed in October 2023 and save for decor, water features, plants and friends, Cheeky boy and Victoria got to test drive the aviary.
although his wings were full he had never been able to use them so learning to fly and land became fun. And then entered lots of friends, one of whom (it may be Cas) befriended him after he strutted his stuff on the now many perches. They have a very large reinforced aviary with mixed flock but apparently our #Africangreys prefer to go mining.
this means that Daniel and Craig had to design and build an extension to the aviary, not knowing how deep or far they'll go. these are the first videos. as we go along you'll not believe the changes which have come about. Enjoy their journey!
